Aloha Bestie, If you grabbed the Website Refresh Reset earlier this month, you probably cleaned things up, fixed what was broken, and finally felt that ahhh, okay moment. And then… you might’ve stared at your screen and thought: “Cool. Now what do I actually say?” Here’s the thing I see all the time: Most people try to plan content without looking at their real life or business first. They sit down with a blank calendar and expect inspiration to magically appear. That’s not how I plan — for content or websites. This week on Instagram, I shared a quick reel for Houseplant Appreciation Day about trying tools instead of overthinking them. It wasn’t planned weeks in advance — it came straight from what I was already doing that day. That’s the approach. So here’s your only task this week: 👉 Open your actual calendar Circle what’s already happening:
That’s not “life stuff.” That’s your content strategy. Your website, your emails, and your social posts should support what’s already real, not some imaginary version of your business. If planning ever feels heavy, it’s usually because it’s disconnected from reality. Start there. Everything else gets easier once you do. — Selena your techie bestie 🌺 P.S. I dropped a short audio alongside this email where I talk through how I plan content and websites from real life — not ideas. Listen if you want the behind-the-scenes thinking. |
Think of this email as having your work bestie sharing what they found on social media, in their emails, what tool they used to make the job easier, and community besties that may be of value for their (your) network. Techie Bestie Activate. (*sips coffee*)
